Managing apartment living should be easy

American Campus Communities Inc. (ACC) is a big player in the growing trend of independently owned residences for university students. Previous to CURTIS Digital, the ACC system was an in-house solution targeted at direct integration and hosting from the core systems.

ACC wanted to update their customer facing portal to make it more user friendly. CURTIS Digital redesigned their portal, bringing it up-to-date with current web standards.

The new customer facing portal is responsive, making it easy to pay rent and submit work orders on multiple devices. The registration process has been simplified and is now more user friendly. CURTIS Digital implemented custom analytics, allowing ACC to track navigational actions on the portal page, keep track of successful work order and rent submissions, etc. These statistics can give insight into possible changes that can increase the company’s bottom line.

The portal includes a personal widget page that pulls in a user’s various social media feeds (Twitter and Facebook, for example), as well as the news.

Although no one is likely to get excited about paying their rent, this portal has made it a lot less of a hassle.
